This weekend we watched The Town which stars Ben Affleck, Blake Lively, Rebecca Hall, and Jeremy Renner. This movie was released in 2010 but until this weekend I don't believe I've ever heard of it before but it was a surprisingly good movie. It's about four friends who live in the Charlestown neighborhood of Boston, which is notorious for its high number of armed robbers. When the foursome carry out one of their bank robberies, they end up holding a bank manager hostage for a short period of time before releasing her unharmed but when they find out she lives in Charlestown, things begin to change....for all of them. If you don't mind some violence, then this is a great movie with a great story line.
We also re-watched The Change-Up with Ryan Reynolds, Jason Bateman, Leslie Mann, and Olivia Wilde. The Change-Up is about two friends who wish for each other's life while peeing in a magic fountain. I know we've all seen body-swap movies before but this one is more for adults as it's rated R and offers a lot of adult comedy, language, and nudity. If you don't mind these things, this movie will have you laughing out loud.
