|Key Lime Cheesecake Bars from Plentiful Pantry|
Plentiful Pantry was started in 1992 by Debbie and her husband Jody as a result of her ongoing passion for great food. While she did the recipe development, Jody did the tasting. She had run some great restaurants and took pleasure in entertaining their friends with fabulous meals. When asked for her recipes, she would tell them about the chopped garlic, fresh herbs and different spices used. Now, they weren’t saying that their friends were lazy, just “time challenged” like me, but they wanted an easier way. That’s when the fun began. Debbie converted all of those good fresh ingredients to dried and they were in business. In the beginning they focused on ways to make quick and easy pasta dishes that would rival those in the best restaurants. As they have grown and added products they still keep in mind everything must be quick and easy as well as healthy. And last but certainly not least the flavors must be outstanding. After all, “you can get average in your grocery store”!
I had the opportunity to try out No Bake Key Lime Cheesecake Bars from Plentiful Pantry and I was more than excited because I love baking and making sweets for me and my family but I don't always have the time so the "no bake" part really appealed to me. All the ingredients I needed to add was 1 cup hot water, 2 8 oz. packages of cream cheese, and 5 tbs. of butter. This mix was very quick and easy to put together and I could hardly wait for them to chill so I could try them. While mine didn't look like a masterpiece, I thought these tasted absolutely wonderful. The Oreo crust was great and went well with the cheesecake mix, which tasted to me like Lemon Meringue Pie, both of which I love. This would be a great solution when you are short on time and have to make something quick for a dinner or party or just any kind of get together. In addition to the No Bake Key Lime Cheesecake Bars I got to try, Plentiful Pantry also sells Apple Crisp, Berry Crisp, Cherry Cobbler, Cherry Chocolate Hot Fudge Cake, Peach Cobbler, Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars, and Pumpkin Cobbler, as well as various other bread, pasta, dips, and soup mixes, etc. They also sell gift sets and these would make great gifts, especially for someone who loves to cook but doesn't always have the time. You can find Plentiful Pantry on Facebook or check out their site for some great recipes and great deals. And if you shop online and spend $70 or more, shipping is free, which couldn't be too hard to do with all the great things they offer.
