Review of 5 New Wholly Salsa Flavors {and a Giveaway Too}

Wholly Salsa just recently introduced five new chef inspired specialty flavors of salsa, including Avocado Verde, Guacamole & Spicy Pico, Roasted Tomato, Red Pepper Mango, and Pineapple. These new salsas are all natural with no additives or preservatives and are great for dipping and topping.

The Avocado Verde is described as adding boldness to any dinner and is based on a traditional Mexican green sauce and is a combination of tomatillo and salsa verde. This was my least favorite of the new salsa flavors, however, it did indeed have a very bold flavor....it just wasn't my kind of flavor.

The Guacamole & Spicy Pico is described as the life of any party and it brings together creamy guacamole and chunky pico de gallo salsa, which is a wonderful combination. Since I'm a big salsa fan but only enjoy guacamole in moderation, this is the perfect dip for someone like me because I can still enjoy a great salsa but with a little added flavor. The pico de gallo had a little kick to it but it wasn't so hot that I couldn't enjoy it. The pieces were the perfect size for dipping or topping a taco salad.

The Red Pepper Mango is described as a colorful treat for your taste buds and indeed it is. It's a combination of fire roasted red pepper, jalapeno pepper, onion, sweet orange mangos, and other all natural ingredients. The ingredients combine for an extremely unique and unforgettable salsa flavor. The mango pieces are the perfect size for dipping and this salsa would also complement many dishes.

The Roasted Tomato is described as Heaven in a bowl. The sweet and smoky flavors of slow roasted tomatoes make this salsa even more special. This salsa is different from non-roasted tomato salsa and by slow roasting the tomatoes, all the rich smoky flavors of the fire come out to make a mouthwatering salsa. This is a thinner, less chunky salsa, and reminds me of salsa that is served in an authentic Mexican restaurant. Just give me a bowl of this mouthwatering salsa and a basket of warm, fresh tortilla chips and I would be in Heaven.

The Pineapple is described as a tropical paradise in your mouth and I would have to wholly agree (no pun intended). This unique salsa flavor blends pineapple, red onion, roasted red bell pepper, and other all natural ingredients for the perfect sweet and tangy combination. The pineapple pieces are the perfect size for dipping but this salsa would also be great served with dinner over a bed of rice or on top of chicken or steak.
