Funky Decorative Leather Bowl
One item that Frontier Outfitters offers is the Funky Decorative Leather Bowl that is hand sculpted in Montana by artist Penny Hall. Organic shapes, genuine leather in deep cherry wood stain, and an antler accent make up this one of a kind piece of art. This bowl would make the perfect gift for any occasion and makes a striking accent piece to any western or cabin decor. This is not only beautiful, but practical as well, measuring 8 x 7 x 5 inches, and can be used to hold small, dry items such as keys, spare change, candy, etc.

The Story Behind Artist Penny Hall
Penny Hall had always admired and appreciated artists but had never expected to become one herself but life just sort of pushed her into it. Diagnosed as legally blind, she wanted to prove to herself that she wasn't blind so in 2003 as a therapy project she created her first leather blessing bowl. Since Penny had been forced to live and move through life differently, this opened her up to new possibilities. She learned to shift her focus and let go of fear and began to look for and see only good things. She started seeing the bowls as containers to hold all of the good things in life and they became her blessing bowls. When the second bowl she created sold for $450 at a fundraiser, her art business was born.  In addition to her art being found at Frontier Outfitters, it can also be found in galleries and shops in Montana, Idaho, Illinois, North Carolina, Oregon, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico.

My Thoughts
I received a free Frontier Outfitters Funky Decorative Leather Bowl to review here at Precisely Mine. I love the deep cherry wood stain and the smell of the genuine leather. This is a slightly flexible bowel but it's very, very well made and sturdy. It's the perfect sized bowl because it's not too small to where it can't hold anything but it's not too big that it looks out of place no matter where I place it. The antler accent adds the perfect touch giving this bowl a true Western look. At the present moment I have my bowl sitting on a shelf in the living room close to the couch and I've been putting some of my jewelry it in. When it's late in the evening and I'm just sitting around watching television but not ready to take my shower yet (and too lazy to walk to the bedroom), I like to take off my jewelry while I'm sitting on the couch and get comfortable and this is a nice safe place for it.

This bowl has also inspired me to add a little more Western decor to my home so over the weekend I bought a few decorative wall pieces at a local craft store with a Western theme. I plan on purchasing more so I'll be  shopping with Frontier Outfitters very soon.

Giveaway
One lucky Precisely Mine reader will win a $50 gift card to Frontier Outfitters to spend on whatever they like.
